Thank you so much for producing these excellent resources;
they make so much difference, both to the accessibility of the
material for pupils and to the costs involved. Added to which,
we all agree here in the department that they are a first class
combination of dictionary and the odd useful note.

My AS group, who have been studying Ovid, Amores 1, wanted
me to write to you to say how very useful we have all found
your running vocabulary. I have also found it an invaluable tool.
Having the text stored electronically has also enabled me to set
questions/exams much more easily. No more photocopying of
the text-book!
I was so glad that I met you at a teachers' conference at
Colchester RGS. You have put hours of work and a lifetime of
experience into your running vocabularies. They are brilliant!

Having used Terry Bird's running vocabularies as both student and
teacher I can testify to their usefulness in building up pupils'
confidence and fluency in translation. They are especially
valuable when used with set texts.

We are most impressed with the Greek texts you sent us, they
have been incredibly helpful. We are therefore very keen to
purchase from you the text for the Ovid A2 requirement. Please
can you let me know if this is available?
In my department's experience, the time-saving element is the
best aspect of the RVs. Teacher preparation time is dramatically
cut, as is much of the "dictionary bashing" time you talk about in
lessons. The vocabulary is pitched just right, the students find the
pointers to the more difficult passages extremely helpful.
